Honorable Justice Rick Libman, PhD (Osgood Hall Law School), LLM
(Osgoode Hall Law School), LLB (University of Windsor), BA (York
University), of the Ontario Court of Justice is an adjunct professor at
Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. His teaching includes criminal
law and regulatory offences. Justice Libman has also been on faculty
teaching criminal and business law courses most recently at Bond
University (Gold Coast, Australia), Humber College and Toronto
Metropolitan University.
Justice Libman is also the incipient Director of Osgoode Professional
Development Certificate Courses on Provincial Offences Court Practice
and Handling Summary Conviction Offence Cases. He was called to the bar
in 1982, and worked as an Assistant Crown Attorney, and later Crown
Counsel, arguing both trials and appeals, and appearing in all levels of
court in Ontario, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. He was
designated as a certified specialist in criminal law by the Law Society of Ontario. Justice Libman has extensive experience teaching NCA accredited courses for over 15 years. He has taught NCA courses in many areas, such as criminal law, constitutional law, administrative law, professional responsibility, and foundations of Canadian law, at the University of Toronto, Bond University, and Canadian Career Education College. |
